Maria Meek, DNP, APRN

Maria Meek is a proud immigrant from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She was raised in Fort Myers, Florida and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Maria continued her education with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Florida. Go Gators!

Maria has always loved caring for children, which has guided her career. She previously worked as a nanny, a preschool teacher, and a nursing assistant at a sleep-away camp.

Her experience as a registered nurse includes three years as a pediatric surgical nurse at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital and three years as a pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit nurse at Wolfson Children's Hospital. She has three years of experience as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner and loves prioritizing patient care and safety.

Maria plans to make Jacksonville her forever home with her husband, Caleb, their daughter, Mirabel, and their dog, Finn.

Her passions include Taylor Swift, watching football, romcoms, traveling, and reading.
