Getting to know your nurse practitioner
We are excited to announce that Micaela Harrison, APRN will be joining the Village Pediatrics team exclusively at our Palencia location!
Micaela brings a strong background in pediatric care and a passion for building meaningful relationships with children and their families. Her patient-centered approach focuses on collaboration, trust, and ensuring that every family feels heard, supported, and valued.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Union College in 2019, Micaela followed her passion for pediatrics by working in clinical research at Boston Children's Hospital.
She then continued her education at Boston College, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2022 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice, specializing in pediatric primary care, in 2024. Shortly after graduation, she traded Boston winters for Florida sunshine and relocated to Jacksonville to begin her career in pediatric primary care.
Micaela enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and their families and feels privileged to support them through each stage of growth and development. She loves celebrating milestones alongside her patients and appreciates the joy, resilience, and positivity children bring every day.
Her approach to care is centered on collaboration, open communication, and trust. She believes that parents know their children best and strives to ensure that every family feels heard, supported, and validated. Micaela values partnering with parents to make informed decisions and provide personalized care that meets each child's unique needs.

When she's not in the office, you'll likely find Micaela planning her next travel adventure, relaxing by the pool, at the beach, or on a boat, curled up with a good book, or spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys exploring her new home with her husband and their mini Aussiedoodle, Bentley, and loves any opportunity to spoil her niece and nephew.
Please join us in giving Micaela a warm Village Pediatrics welcome! We know our families will love getting to know her, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team.
